My Story...

My name is Sarojini Datta.

​

I am a self-taught painting artist. I love to work with different media... Watercolors, oils, acrylics, pastels, pen and ink, as I love the different experiences each of them brings. 

​

As an Air Force spouse, I embraced the travel opportunities our frequent moves provided. In fulfilling my wanderlust, I have travelled to more than 28countries creating a treasure trove of memories and pictures that I love to translate into paintings.

​

I had my 1st solo exhibition at the age of 16 at Triveni Kala Sangam. After a long gap i have now participated in group shows in Bhutan, Chicago and Delhi and attended art symposiums in Greece and Lavasa. I recently had another solo exhibition in February 2020 In Delhi.

For me, Art is meditation. Art is positivity. Painting is my space where I forget time and am removed from the problems of life, returning to reality feeling elated and lighthearted.
